Full Moon in Aquarius July 2021
How the Full Moon on July 23-24 will affect your zodiac sign
Full moons create a dynamic energy that ripples throughout space and society. During full moons, we tend to feel a surge of emotions both individually and collectively. Around 10:37 p.m. EST, we’ll be experiencing a full moon in the sign of Aquarius. Now, if you’re familiar with this air sign, then you’ll know it’s not exactly known for “feeling” its emotions.
Instead, Aquarians use their intellect to decipher and rationalize emotions. Known as the “water bearer” Aquarius does provide an impetus for emotional connection, just not in the way you’d get from a watery sign like Cancer. So what does a full moon in Aquarius feel like? As someone who natally has their moon in Aquarius, the one word I would apply here is “revolutionary.”
Logic and rational are the home base for Aquarians. However, a full moon demands a release and submission. This part of the lunar cycle asks us to let go or loosen our grip. Uranian-ruled Aquarius is a fixed sign which doesn’t much care to get heavily involved in emotional release. It’s more focused on “the collective good” which can get in the way of individual rawness.
During a full moon cycle, many astrologers do not recommend manifestation practice. Instead, this time may be used for reflection, expressing gratitude, researching, journaling, cleaning, and preparing space for new experiences. Futuristic Aquarius loves all things new, so I’d recommend tapping into these progressive, electric energies to inspire your clearing away activities.
In astrology, the 12 houses in a 360° natal chart represent particular areas of life. Find a horoscope below for the upcoming Full Moon in Aquarius. This includes a brief explanation of how this energy will impact each house and rising sign.
Aries - 11th house
In astrology, the 11th house is the house of friendship and innovation. Ruled by Aquarius and Uranus, this house represents where we “go” to learn how and why we need others. Aries, being a “me-first” fire sign, doesn’t like to rely on others and rather prefers to just push forward with its Martian energy. Personal responsibility and desire aside, this would be a great time to take stock of who supports your journey to becoming your best self. If you want to take it a step further, give that person a call or send over an email that expresses your gratitude for their role in your journey.
Taurus - 10th house
Ruled by Venus which governs not only beauty and love but also money and values, Taurus Rising may be feeling an emotional response to their career path at this time. If you’ve been considering a job change, this may be just the time to plot your next move. Ask yourself, are you advancing from a place of value, joy, and integrity? Taurus, like Aquarius, is a fixed sign that doesn’t adapt well to or embrace change. Your actions and reactions may speak for you.
Gemini - 9th house
Thoughtful Gemini will be experiencing this full moon in the ninth house, known as the house of philosophy, higher learning, and travel. Gemini can really keep up with this category of subjects, as it’s got the mental stamina to carry on through. Those who have Gemini Risng in their natal chart may be feeling a need to share new insights with others, particularly through online forums, social networks, or other modern devices. Be conscious of emotional flares.
Cancer - 8th house
In the 8th house, ruled by watery Scorpio and Pluto, those with Cancer Risings may be feeling a great sense of transformation. Particularly around themes of sex, death, commitment, breaking down, and taking from others. This may be an intense time as Aquarius will be activating mental processes that Cancer prefers to work through the heart. Find comfort in cleaning, staying at home, avoiding alcohol, and licking your wounds during this cycle.
Leo - 7th house
Those who have a Leo Rising placement will be experiencing a significant emotional release at this time. Perhaps there’s something that’s been sloshing around in their mind since the New Moon in Cancer on July 9th. I highly, highly recommend going back into your journal or notes to see what was going on in your interpersonal relationships at that time. No doubt, these same themes will be activated during this time once more. Set aside time for some self-love.
Virgo - 6th house
Virgo Risings will be feeling especially at home with this full moon activating the 6th house. Known as a “mundane” house of to-do lists, chores, responsibilities, and organization, the 6th house is naturally ruled by Virgo in astrology theory. During this time, you’ll want to clean and get rid of useless material items. But don’t throw them in the trash — humanitarian Aquarius would rather you donate items to someone in need. Be thoughtful with this process.
Libra - 5th house
The fifth house represents pleasure and creation. Ruled by fire sign Leo, this house may activate for Libra Rising a lack of emotional fulfillment (as the moon can tempt our self-consciousness) with their creative pursuits or expressions. Now would be a great time to sing, dance, paint, and play up your artistic side just for the fun of it. Let loose with friends you feel safe to manifest your authentic self with, loudly and boldly. Focus on your emotional needs exclusively.
Scorpio - 4th house
Channeling the watery vibes of Cancer with the 4th house, Scorpio risings may be feeling an emotional or self-conscious vibe with regard to their homelife right now. Whether looking back on childhood matters in therapy or realizing follies in their own family, this may be a challenging time. Scorpio finds comfort in taboo topics, and Aquarius loves to blanket the masses in progressive thought. Together, this could reveal a unique and dynamic perspective on what family really is.
Sagittarius - 3rd house
Those with a Sagittarius rising may be feeling a need to connect with their siblings or close friends. With Aquarius activating penetrating discussions, Sagittarians may be feeling a need to say something important to someone very important. If that’s not so much the case, look out for paramount conversations in general at this time. There’s a need to release something verbally and consciously, as opposed to letting the subconscious rule your psyche as it may have been.
Capricorn - 2nd house
Capricorn loves to visit the second house, as it’s known for ruling finances and material wealth. Be aware not to overspend at this time, Capricorn Rising. You’ll find you may have an increased mental capacity to work through money situations and it would be wise to use it. Your value systems may be activated at this time, and you could be analyzing the ways that you not only earn money but also build and accumulate wealth in your life.
Aquarius - 1st house
For those who have an Aquarius Rising placement, this full moon will be washing over your sense of identity, first and foremost. You may be really reconfiguration your sense of self, trying to understand on a deeper level who you really are as a person. If you natally have an Aquarius moon like me, you’ll also be experiencing conjunction between your natal and the transiting moon. This could be a comfortable and validating time for you if you’re actively “doing the work.”
Pisces - 12th house
Pisces knows all about the 12th house, which the sign naturally rules in astrology theory. Your sense of spirituality as a Pisces Rising may be changing as you dive into the intentions of your emotional reactions, intrusive thoughts, etc. Don’t shy away from the process as it will require your full attention. Since this all takes place around the 12th house, there could be a feeling of being “out of touch” almost like your emotions are channeling from another dimension. But if you can redirect back to the present, there will be profound spiritual growth during this lunar cycle.
