How can I use astrology for business?

Starry Sky

Astrology is everywhere these days. However, when it comes to business and big decisions, using astrology is nothing new. Astrology follows repeating patterns by tracking transits. Because of this, we can pinpoint the right (and wrong) times for just about anything from product debuts to brand launches.

Did you know? You can actually create a chart for your business just like you can create a natal chart for yourself. It’s true! Below, you’ll see the natal chart for Perry Rose Media which was formed on July 24, 2015. I suppose I could also do a chart for April 14, 2020 when Perry Rose Media officially became a registered LLC. Note: I closed my business in November 2022.

You’ll see in the chart below that Perry Rose Media has its Sun and Mercury in the 10th house and its Venus and Jupiter in the 11th house. In astrology, the tenth house represents career, vocation, and where we find our place in the collective. The eleventh house in astrology characterizes friendships, opportunities (with others), interactions, and collaborations.

With Sun and Mercury in the Leo, there’s great force and passion — especially that to achieve and be recognized. Venus and Jupiter in Virgo and Leo respectively speak to loyalty, helping others better themselves as well as exuberance and generosity. To see the Sun conjunct Mercury in this chart shows an alignment of ego and mind is a tremendous blessing. However, there is a square between the Ascent and Midheaven, representing a tendency to stand in our own way.

Taking a look at a chart doesn’t mean you’ll just find your strengths. You’ll find your weaknesses too. I personally feel more empowered to improve and grow knowing these challenges have a higher purpose.

Additionally, synastry can show us our “best” matches for business partnerships, hiring employees, and project collaborations. Understanding a person’s natal chart (and how it interacts with your own) can provide context to social interactions we may not otherwise have. Think of it as a peek into their true self — one that we don’t typically see up-front in work settings.

As individuals participating in a collective, our personal needs aren’t always met. But as entrepreneurs and business owners, we have not only the luxury but the duty to surround ourselves only with people that support and believe in us. Instead of minimizing our personalities and perspectives, we should focus on partnering with people that embrace our uniqueness.

Below, you’ll find my quick guide about best and worst astro pairings in the workplace. You can also see them on Instagram.
