Announcing my YouTube Channel
In true Aries fashion, I’ve set into motion something BIG!
For a while, I have wanted to launch a YouTube account. Making videos has been within my scope of work for almost a decade, going back to my early days as a fashion blogger and journalism student in Pittsburgh, at Point Park University. Even then I found myself drawn to astrology, but it wouldn’t be for a long while after that I would find a more poised and professional vantage of my astrology studies.
When I began consulting and doing readings on Clubhouse, I learned how much others respected intuition and transparency. This combination can be rare on social media. Especially in spaces that become a catalyst for misinformation and disinformation. I then started hosting workshops in-person and virtually. My newsletter grew, as did my follower count on TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest.
The yearning for a new creative project had me considering revamping my podcast, The Perry Rose Report, which is available on all podcast and audio streaming platforms. But I knew that I wanted to do something a little… different. More, well, me. I wanted to tap into the abundance of social video and the highway of the interconnectedness it creates. So I started planning how I would launch my channel. At first, I started strategizing (it’s the publicist/marketing expert in me to do so) and scripting (a writer too, after all) but I didn’t feel joy in that content.
I looked around at what resources I had available: oracle cards, astro.com, a Pro series iPhone, and a high-speed internet connection. The rest was filled in by Canva, my husband (who created the music in my videos), and intuitive knowledge of the zodiac. Although I love tarot readings, I don’t particularly connect to doing broad-scale readings for unspecified individuals with unspecified questions or concerns. However, the oracle offers a less prescriptive take on intuitive readings. Plus, I happen to use a deck by Susan Sheppard themed on astrology.
For the first few videos I made, I practiced on family and friends via my personal Facebook before today launching my official YouTube channel and my first weekly oracle reading for March 21, 2022. While putting together this project, I learned a lot about resilience, truthfulness, and grace. This process has been deeply humbling as well as inspiring.
